DisplayPort, on the other hand, has a maximum length of about 10' according to the official standard. Using active cables, or other transmission methods, like HDMI over HDBaseT, makes it possible to run HDMI cables for over 300'. Standard HDMI cables are available in lengths exceeding 100' for 1080p signals, or 30' for 4k signals.
